Answer: According to Christianity, the answer is yes, but this
answer can be rationally
doubted, simply because it lacks satisfactory evidence.
What does this mean?
It means that it cannot and has never been proven. If someone has the
evidence,
they haven't stepped forward, to share it with everyone, which leads us
back to
square one. It lacks satisfactory evidence and without satisfactory
rational evidence,
the statement is meaningless.
Let me give you an example of what I'm talking about.
You come over to my house one day and you wonder how the lawn was mowed.
You
know for a fact, I don't own a lawnmower, but you just walked past a
freshly cut lawn
and don't know what to think.
When you ask about the lawn, I tell you, I found a magic rabbit who
chews each one
of the individual blades of grass, down to the perfect height and then
leaves. He
doesn't charge any money, but comes often enough and the relationship is
mutually
beneficial.
He gets to eat as much grass as he wants and I get my lawn mowed.
You heard the story, but what you think. Sounds a little far-fetched,
maybe even a
little hard to believe, but it's your friend and he's never lied to you
before. This is
when doubt comes in and you start to wonder, whether or not, he's
telling you the
truth.
You start doing little research and before long, figure out there's no
such thing as
a magical rabbit. You ask a few of your friends and they practically
fall off their
chairs, laughing at your ridiculous story.
Nobody would believe something so stupid, you've got to be a complete
idiot. Not
only that, your friend must be the president, of the idiot club.
There's a good chance, most intelligent people, wouldn't believe a story
like this, but
believe that God created the universe.
If this is true, then where did God come from?
Well, where did that come from? Amazingly enough, most Christians don't
know the answer and for those who do, it doesn't make any sense.
God came from nothing, then if that's true, then where did nothing come
from?
If we can't get something for nothing, then how could God come from
nothing?
If you can answer that question, then you could probably answer this
question yourself.
Here's my opinion, there's plenty of theories, the Big Bang theory,
theory of evolution
and of course the theory of creation, but until they have been proven
and can no
longer rationally be doubted, then they will always remain theories.
Try to avoid getting caught up in someone else's theory or opinion,
about reality, especially the ones that cannot be validated..
