Think about it,
this show would need to be the best, ever. It would also need to
provide quality entertainment, for centuries, to gain the undeniable
status,” The greatest show on Earth.”
It would need to
provide hope, pleasure and happiness and make people feel good.
It would need to
convince people to keep coming back, time and time again, while leaving
large sums of money, to keep the show, on the road.
It would need to
train entertainers and figure out a way to spice things up, every once
in a while. (Natural disasters, wars and religious fanatics)
Are you with me so
far? The greatest show on Earth would truly need to be the greatest
show ever. I can't think of one circus show today, which was greater
than any religion or spiritual spectacle, especially one that's been
around for centuries.
I can't think of
one religion, which doesn't sound ridiculous, to a rational person.
Christianity, Judaism and Islam, believes that the Creator of the
universe, watches every move we make and actually records them.
There’s absolutely
no proof that this ever happened or is currently happening, yet millions
of people, believe that it is. God’s going to punish the cruel and
reward the righteous.
If you were one of
the righteous entertainers or played an amazing part, in the greatest
show on Earth, your rewards could be spectacular. Of course, you would
only be rewarded, if you chose the correct religion and followed its
rules.
In other words,
only one religion can be the greatest show on Earth. All of the others
would be wrong and their followers would be doomed to suffer, for
eternity, simply because they chose to follow the wrong show.
I'm amazed at how
many people follow these shows, without ever taking the time, to see
them, for what they truly are. 3,000 years ago, these shows truly must
have been spectacular, but are more like reruns, today.
It's clear to me
that we would still believe most of the things we were taught in the
past, if it wasn't for the individuals who weren't interested in
purchasing a ticket, to the show. Galileo, Copernicus, Newton,
Einstein, Charles Darwin and Stephen Hawking.
Why do millions of
people have a desperate need, to turn a few faith-based beliefs, into an
illusionary reality?
Why do millions of
people give away money, to organizations that can't even answer a few
simple questions, rationally?
I'll tell you why,
because the magical world of fantasy isn't much different than the
magical world of religion. Both of them make promises that cannot be
kept and claims that might not ever be validated.
Christianity,
Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism, rank at the top and have been
providing Oscar-winning performances, for decades.
However,
Christianity is number one and has been number one, for centuries. Out
of all of the religions in the world, Christianity ranks number one as
the greatest show on earth.
